Tonight I got calls from the California Nurses Association, Sen. Barbara Boxer, and just now, from Al Gore.
I hung up on all of 'em.
I expect to hear from Hillary and my friend Bill later in the week.
Bush hasn't called. I wouldn't hang up on him. I'd like to give him a piece of my mind, but not tooo much, of course. Not that much to go around.
I wouldn't mind if they called me in person, mind you, but they don't.
"Hi, this is Al Gore..."
"Hi, Al, you so-and-so. I remember you from 2000. Are you going to have your buddy Kerry call me next? You know, from 2004? The man with combat boots in his mouth? Why not just have Jane Fonda call and be done with it?"
I'm talking to a machine that doesn't care what you say back to it, for it ain't listening, just like our government.

Damn! Just got off the phone with my good friend Bill Clinton. He asked me to support John Garamendi, who's someone running for something. I said, "Okay, Bill," and hung up. I didn't want to take up too much of his time. I figured he's busy calling millions of other California voters this evening and couldn't stop to chat.
Not that chatting was very likely under the circumstances.
Those calling machines, you know, are strictly one way.
When Bill calls to ask my views, on the other hand, then I'll really have something to post here.
